Motorola is planning to release the DROID 2, the successor of the very popular Motorola DROID. We have seen a few images before, but these brand new pics will show you the phone in all its beauty, and we've also added a video showing the activation screen of the handset.
Details on the Motorola DROID 2 are pretty much unavailable. However, from as little as we know, the DROID 2 comes with a 3.7 inch display that will most probably be supported by the MOTOBLUR user interface.
The phone has a 5 megapixel camera, WiFi and includes a HDMI port and also has a front-facing camera. DROID 2 will probably run the Android 2.1 operating system. Chances are pretty slim, however, to come with the Android 2.2 Froyo installed, although an upgrade may follow.
The DROID 2 is powered by a 750 MHz OMAP processor, has 8GB of internal memory and also microSD memory card slot for additional storage space to up to 32GB. The phone will land at Verizon, as you can in the video easily spot the carrier's logo on the phone, probably in July, as the rumors go.
