Yes, there was no clear distinction between the two phones. Some blogs and news sources indeed said that Droid 2 is in fact Shadow. I've underlined the difference here http://www.phones.com/news/new-droids-come-verizon/
But this is not entirely our fault (journalists and bloggers) as we can only report the information made available by the manufacturer. If the info is confusing, then the story is confusing and to this we might want to add all the rumors that spread via forums and blogs - no solid facts, only speculation. While these rumors may sometime have some clear information, sometimes - if not frequently - they do stir up confusion.

I'm really confused. Some say Droid 2 and Shadow are one and the same while for some droid 2 will be released in June and Shadow in Nov. But this phone doesn't seem too interesting. it's a little late with Apple iPhone 4, HTC Evo 4G and Motoroi already in the market. same is not always fun.
