Not made for the people who want a music player and digital camera with their phone rather than having a phone that performs basic call functions and messaging.
Still I will buy this phone once out in the market as it will have amazing talk time so it will be the best option to carry as a second phone.

Hey friends,
I work in a marketing field. I am using W220 over a one year now and totally happy with its functionality. I can buy any multimedia phone but those phones don’t offer me battery support. So I always prefer basic phones, which provide their maximum performance to me. Now want to change my handset so waiting for this simply great W161.

I just read on official site of Motorola that W161 is expected to be available for purchase in first quarter of 2008. Today is 24 March and still it is not available in the market. So does anybody have any idea about its release date?

W160, W170(tata), W161 all look the same. What’s the big difference? Why did they manufacture this phone? Strike a fortune in poor developing countries..no one is foolish here to not understand ur promotion tactics, MOTO.

hey dean! That was too harsh! There are many customers who don’t have enough money, but still need mobile to remain in contact and I think W161 is perfect for them. You can call, listen to radio, send SMS, what more do you need?
