Elve, Too great of the enlightment from your side.. so here is the new show of symbian from Samsung Inc with the outburst of alternate, or say, revitalised more recent Symbian i.e. Symbian^2.. is it so? right? What are the prominent amendments in Symbian^2 over Symbian^1? If u could justify its adoption by Samsung to beat the Nokia.. So can I say "Samsung did it!" , or not?, (To break my stubborness to switch from Nokia to Samsung).

Hi Abhi, In Nokia terminology S60 5.0 is = S60 5th Edition(Corresponds to Symbian^1) i.e. S60 version number 5.0 i.e Symbian OS version number 9.4. Similarly if you try to decode OS9.5 i.e Symbian OS version number 9.5 i.e. S60 version number 5.1 i.e Symbian^2. To confuse you less, S60 5.0 is Symbian^1 and OS9.5 is Symbian^2.

I have been using the Omnia for the past few weeks and my vote would tilt in favour of the Omnia compared to the iPhone. Yes, the iPhone has been trumpeted a lot but the audio quality on the Omnia is much more clear and crisp rather than on the iPhone. Also the 3G version i used didn't support A2DP BT version which Omnia did. Think future releases of iPhone 3G S do support the said BT headphone.

I liked both its names, viz-the Samsung OMNIA HD and i8910 HD but what I liked more are its features and the promises that it promises to deliver.

I would like to check its 8MP camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, generous 8/16 GB internal storage and DivX/XviD HD playback with subtitle support. Moreover, its Symbian S60 5th edition which is the most new version is the centre of attraction for me and yes, the new TouchWiz 3D interface as well.

Hey guys, the i8910 Omnia HD is geared up to sway you. Its specs like HD video recording and playback are simply awesome man. And in my opinion, this top-quality cell phone with its huge AMOLED screen, powerful 600 MHz processor and dedicated graphics chip definitely deserves to be paid attention.

Whatever the case, the lack of 3G is something I just cannot digest. There was no need to make it that much expensive, as this might keep the cell phone out of reach from the masses.

I think the TouchWiz interface is improved to a great extent; but would like to explore its features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS so as to decide whether I can actually have it or should drop the idea to have one.

When I saw it for the first time, I found it quite big and tall. As far as its hardware is concerned, it is crammed inside, where it has got HSDPA , GPS, 8-16GB of internal storage with microSD expansion, 8MP camera, a built-in flash bulb, a forward-facing video camera, USB connector and a 3.5mm jack, etc which are pretty good.

So it a futuristic video recording mobile hun? and awesome as well?? High density video is a welcome feature but whats the need of an 8 MP camera..Its better to have a real camera..A cell phone should be specific to it functions..

absolutely awesome phone!! Since it has AMOLED display screen, the colors appear brighter, videos, pictures look more sharper and good part of it is it consumes less power than other standard LCDs. So its ecofriendly too!!
Its keyboard is pretty spacious so easy for texting.
No comments on 8MP camera.. as it produces just awesome photos and HD quallity videos!!
Trully a elegant, hi-tecg smart phone.
