The Qatar Exchange rebounded amid bullish input from global exchanges, closing 3.11% higher at 6,638.61 points.
Vodafone Qatar (gaining 0.93% at QR10.80), which listed its shares last Wednesday for the first time following its $1bn-IPO in May, became the QE's new 'darling'.
The new competitor of Qatar Telecom posted the largest volume with 5.26m shares changing hands, a fifth of today's total turnover.
The advance-decline ratio ended at 37:3 with no stock closing flat.
