Troubled by so unpaid interconnection fees from Sprint Nextel which rise to an amount of $10 million, Verizon Wireless decided it will take the problem to court.
Verizon says that Sprint Nextel did not pay their fees even if the main US wireless supplier repetitively demanded payment. According to US law, interconnection fees have a two year status limitation and Verizon intends to get their money before the limit expires.
Spring Nextel take a calm approach, they hope for a solution without court implications. This is interesting, if they have debt to Verizon they should acquit it, if not they will win all legal actions. But probably court fees are very high, nonetheless they can meet Spring Nextel’s budget.
