Nokia has decided to close the Vancouver based game studio due to financial problems. At a time when the world has it bad with economics, the Finnish mobile phone manufacturer closes the studio responsible for some interesting mobile games.
According to reports, Nokia has shut down its Vancouver-based game development operations. The closure will leave 100 people unemployed. The studio has developed a significant number of titles for the first and second generation N-Gage systems.
The N-Gage Design Studio in Vancouver worked on franchises such as Call of Duty, Tiger Woods and Tony Hawks. The studio was closed in June 30 and more than 10 days later the fate of its 100 staff is unknown.
