The Swedish-Finnish TeliaSonera rejected an acquisition offer made by France Telecom last week and new it came to Telenor ASA attention. The later may be interested in purchasing TeliaSonera.

Telenor ASA is the principal rival in the Nordic region of TeliaSonera and now rumor had been confirmed when a representative of the Swedish-Finnish telecoms peer said they know for sure that Telenor is interested.

Employees say they doubt that an acquisition is a good idea stating that it may bring a lot of problems and complications.
