At a press conference held at the MWC 2010, Barcelona Sony Ericsson introduced nearly identical, miniature versions of the Xperia X10.  With the exception of the slide out QWERTY keyboard integrated in Xperia X10 mini pro and the colors of the handset, the two sister phones do not differ much in other specifications. Combining the Android platform with Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, both the handsets include the signature application Sony Ericsson Timescape™. With Timescape users will be able to link all communication features together in one place, whether it's missed calls, emails, SNS updates or text messages. Both the phones will be available in selected markets from Q2 with X10 mini available in the colours Pearl White, Black, Pink, Lime, Red and Silver. X10 mini pro will be available only in two colors - Black and Red.

February 14, 2010 - Barcelona – Today sees the announcement of Xperia™ X10 mini and X10 mini pro, compact versions of Xperia™ X10, which will deliver powerful and application packed mobile phones into the industry. The two sister mobile phones incorporate the signature application Sony Ericsson Timescape™ which brings all communication together in one place so users can see at a glance text messages, missed calls, and Facebook™ and Twitter updates, without having to open lots of different applications.  The interactive music player also uses the “infinite button” to pull together all music content from the music store and YouTube™ – a smart way to search for new tracks from a favourite artist.
