A new handset has appeared on the net with rumors that Samsung will release the handset in the near future. The so-called Samsung S3100 is a phone targeted for the midrange mobile market.

The upcoming phone resembles the U600 and is based around a sliding configuration. According to reports, the handset will most probably come with a music player, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.1 for wireless connectivity, USB 2.0 and microSDHC slot for more storage space.

The S3100 comes with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution display, a built in camera of unknown caliber. Additionally, there is no information yet regarding the phone’s pricing or its availability.
