Finally, the long wait is coming to a close. We now know exactly when the superb Nokia N97 will be available. The handset is expected to enter the markets in 19 June, just three weeks from now.

The handset comes with a full touch screen display and a slide out QWERTY keypad. The N97 may be purchased from Nokia’s Regent Street Store and online at www.nokia.co.uk/shop for 499 pounds SIM free.

A week after the official launch, the handset will be made available to other carriers such as 3, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u. However, at the moment there are no pricing plans available.

Ovi Store will be integrated into the device with one-touch access to 20,000 various videos, podcasts, games and location-based services that are currently available. The handset comes with A-GPS for navigational needs and 32GB of internal memory. Additionally the N97 sports a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash.
