Unquestionably, the number of Android mobile phones has increased this year, and it looks like it will increase further. More and more mobile phone manufacturers and wireless operators adopt the platform. In this matter, the Taiwanese company HTC will launch two new handsets – the Dream and Magic.

However, HTC is not alone. More Taiwanese companies plan to release Android based phones, and here we refer to the mobile service provider Far EasTone and the IT company Tatung.

Tatung plans to make handsets available through the affiliate company Tatung InfoComm, which is one of the six Taiwanese WiMAX licensees that will make available commercial WiMAX services on the Penghu islands by the end of May. Tatung InfoComm is expexted to add more that 1 million subscribers during the next five years.

Far EasTone is a service provider that announced partnering with a local phone maker to release Android based phones. Two new handsets running Google Android mobile platform will be release. One of which will enter the markets by the end of this year.

Work has already begun on the two handsets and the company is finalizing plans to offer customized services to its users.
