Verizon Wireless has announced that it is offering the new Motorola Rival. One of the latest Motorola handset, the Rival, is forged with a mind for quick and easy messaging as well as access to several Verizon services.

Verizon subscribers can use the Rival to access services like V CAST Music, Video, Visual voice Mail and VZ Navigator. The handset comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and is available in tin silver or purple colors with a slider design. Additionally, the phone offers a touch dial pad, IM text chat window, and one touch email access among other features.

The handset comes with a modest camera of just 2 megapixel, as the phone is not made especially for taking pictures. Anyway, it also sports a 3.5 mm handset jack and up to 8GB of memory via a microSD card.

The Motorola Rival is available online and in stores for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
