Following the success of the first Cookie phone, which has sold over 12 million units, LG tries to achieve that number of sales with a new Cookie handset, namely the LG Cookie Fresh GS290. The handset comes with some interesting features while other are similar to its predecesor.
The Cookie Fresh GS290 comes with a 3 inch WQVGA touchscreen display, a modest 2 megapixel camera and lacks 3G connectivity support. Other features include FM radio, a 3.5 mm headset jack and social networking integration. The phone is clearly designed to appeal to the younger generation and offers quick access to Twitter, Flickr, Facebook and other social networking services.
The handset will be released in Europe starting this month and it will be available in multiple colors. LG also has plans to sell the handset in at least 50 countries worldwide by the end of 2010.
