High Tech Computer (HTC) has decided to release a non-touch mobile phone. In design it looks very familiar with Touch Diamond. In any case, the handset is very attractive and has a number of interesting features.
Not long after the release of the Touch Diamond and the Touch Pro, HTC is now releasing its successor of the S730, the S740. It seems that for the moment, the handset doesn’t have a unique name, but it might get one soon.
Anyway, the S740 is based on Windows Mobile Standard operating system which means that it may have the good old Internet Explorer web browser. Well, let’s hope not.
The handset has quad-band GSM and dual-band 900/2100 MHz UMTS/HSDPA 7.2 Mbps connectivity. It comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, a 2.4 inch QVGA display, microSD, 256MB internal memory and 256MB RAM. The handset should be available in Europe starting September. The bad part is that the prices haven’t been announced.
