New high-end mobile telecommunication technology is slowly conquering China as well. Recently, China Mobile has received green light to expand 3G technology nationwide, informs China Daily.
According to the state-run Chinese newspaper China Daily, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has just approved a plan by CMCC to expand its current TD-SCDMA nationwide.
Now, CMCC is running trials of the Chinese 3G standard, TD-SCDMA in eight cities and now it plans to an unspecified number of cities, informs cellular-news.com. This comes as an interesting blow to the Chinese market. Other GSM and CDMA networks might go to CDMA and W-CDMA based 3G services.
Nevertheless with the growing demand on 3G services there is absolutely no way that the government could hold back the expansion of the technology. It may also be the economical influence that made China turn so hardly to 3G but in the next years we should see 3G in all cities.
