A new handset is introduced by Alltel Wireless for all the company’s subscribers. The new RIM BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 smartphone is a device that brings both style and functionality, and which will become available for purchase in May.
The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 is an outstanding mobile phone that comes with a high-resolution external display that offers users the possibility to screen calls and preview messages, while the internal display enables them to respond to calls or messages, informs Softpedia.
The handset has an internal LCD that can offer 240 x 320 pixel resolution while playing videos and viewing pictures. The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 comes with a large SureType QWERTY keyboard, trackball navigation, an intuitive UI, built-in GPS with support for BlackBerry Maps and location based applications. The handset has a rather modest 2 megapixel photo snapper that also has video recording capabilities.
Additionally, the handset comes with a microSD/SDHC memory card slot with support up to 16 GB of additional storage space, Bluetooth support, a full HTML browser and a media player that can also sync music from iTunes or Windows Media Player.
The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 smartphone will be available for $79.99, after a $70 mail-in rebate, and signing a two-year contract agreement with the carrier on a qualifying Smart Choise Pack that starts at as little as $69.99 per month and includes unlimited data, email and web access.
