This phone was probably to reach out to the folks who can't or won't splurge on a full-fledged BlackBerry. It does kill the image of the company somewhat though.

i really didn't quite like this phone anyway. I always prefer B'berry brick phones..with a biggg wide screen and large qwerty keyboard..this model looks like a kiddie piece..there are other companies to manufacture such mobiles...C'mon B'berry you are known for much better 'smarter' phones
