According to a new Strategy Analytics report by 2013 there will be around 5.6 billion mobile subscriptions worldwide. By the end of this year the reports suggests that the number of subscriptions will rise to 3.9 billion around the world.

Who says mobile phones are not becoming more and more loved? Specialists say that not numbering people who have two or more subscriptions, more that half of the world’s population will use cellphones by the beginning of 2010.

The same report says that 3G networks will cover only half of total subscriptions but the number of people who prefer this technology. For now, and the near future, only one in six subscribers will have 3G accounts.
