You can try a couple things. Buy the Verizon Droid or Eris at with no contract and get Verizon pay as you go plan. You can also buy pay as you go 3G Internet. $5.00 a day to $50.00 a month. $29.00 with a plan so you pay a couple bucks extra to use it.You cant use the Verizon 3G Network without some kind of plan or pay as you go, but you can connect via Bluetooth and WiFi .Android is totally open source so you are welcome to get the Droid Smartphones and hack away. So many new advanced smart phones are available in to market now but I took this phone last 1.5 years back and believe me it is working fine and camera is superb. Not even think to live without it single day now.

Tough competitor of Apple iPhone 4 but after bad reviews about Apply Motorola can cross its finger for best results. But it is seriously great phone running on high speed Android processor and camera with dual LED flash is simply too good!!!
