The LG KF510 was announced at the Mobile World Congress 2008. The sleek tri-band GSM slider has many goodies including a 3-megapixel camera, QVGA video recording, and Bluetooth with A2DP among others.

Look, Design, Feel (/10)

The KF510 without doubt has killer looks. It is available in two exciting colors: Stardust Dark Grey and Sunset Red as LG puts it. The phone is of a metal frame and has an awesome paintjob. While weighing a lowly 91 grams, the KF510 feels solid in hands because of its high weight-to-volume ratio. The KF510 looks astonishingly slim for a 3 megapixel slider, at just 10.9 mm! The KF510 has a unique touchpad that aids navigation greatly. The keypad felt great and had the feel of a heavy-duty one, typing with T9 was very fast and comfortable. The touchpad of the KF510 looks great and adds to the overall appeal of the phone, even in dark when its illuminated. Navigation was really easy for the average user, with the haptic feedback of the touchpad and intuitive UI present on the phone. The Music button on the right side doubles up as the camera key when long-pressed.

Features (/10)

LG packed all the goodies it could into its slim and sexy slider, the KF510. The 3.15 Megapixel camera with AF and Flash took very good shots at 2048x1536 resolution. The camera was very fast, and supported Image Stabilization. The KF510 supports video recording at QVGA in 3GP format. An MP3 player does the music job, and an MP4 player supported playing back video copied from other devices. An FM Radio was also present. The phone had just 16 Megabytes of onboard memory but thanks to the microSD card slot thats hot-swappable, you can easily add a lot more memory to the phone. Wallpapers and customisation were available to have the phone look even better. The 2.2" QVGA display looked stunningly vivid at 256K colors. There was a good web browser on the KF510 which made the whole browsing experience enjoyable on EDGE speeds. The KF510 had great call quality on our network. Other features present on the KF510 are identical to those on most other LG feature phones.

Connectivity (/10)

This is a tri-band phone, supporting the 900/1800/1900 MHz bands of GSM. The KF510 supports GPRS and EDGE Class 10 for data connectivity. USB v2.0 and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP aid local connectivity with PCs and other devices. The device allows both the internal memory and Memory Card to be used in Mass Storage mode.

Performance (/10)

Battery performance of the KF510 was moderate, since the sleek device only had a 800 mAh battery under its hood. LG rates the talk time of the KF510 at 4 hours. Standby was good at 400 hours.
