My electric gate or the key to it broke down. I can't figure out what the problem is. Has anyone had a similar problem?

I hope this is the key, because if the problem is in the gate, then things are bad.

Therefore, it is better to turn to professionals.

Thank you for sharing your experience. With the help of this post and several videos from YouTube(thank God people came up with YouTube) I was able to pull off the same thing. We had two garages after buying a new house and for a long time the second gate of the second garage was broken. (If it ever helps someone, then here are the guys who were able to fix these automatic gates: https://everlastgates.com/austin-texas-automatic-gate-repair-installation/ [everlastgates.com]) I was even able to find exactly the same button as you have. It looks completely identical ha ha ha. At first, I did not secure the chip properly and it was hanging out inside the door. I realized this when I heard a knock when turning. The duct tape helped!
