I don’t think that you will be able to use .JAD (Java Application Descriptor) and JAR ( Java Archive) files on your Blackberry Pearl 8110 using desktop manager.

I have installed .alx file using desktop manager. Then why not jad and .jar files?

Yes, you can install .alx but not jad and .jar files. But you can convert .jar files to .alx files and install on your phone using desktop manager.
